Charlie

About

Charlie is my sweet, loving Cavalier King Charles Spaniel that joins me for in-person sessions to provide animal-assisted therapy. He is a certified therapy dog through Alliance of Therapy Dogs, and has experience volunteering at the College of Charleston, and at The Palms, a senior living home in Mount Pleasant. Charlie accompanies me in my in-person sessions at my office in Mount Pleasant and provides a welcoming and safe environment for my clients. Many of my clients have enjoyed the experience of having a therapy dog in sessions, as it helps them alleviate their anxiety and feel safe to be vulnerable.

For Charlie’s safety and to allow him to fully focus on supporting clients, we ask that no other furry friends join the counseling sessions.
